Se estima que la pandemia de la COVID-19 tendrá importantes repercusiones económicas en África, pero estas no serán idénticas entre los grupos de población y las zonas de un país. Como resultado de las diferentes estructuras y dinámicas socioeconómicas de las zonas rurales y urbanas, las personas que viven en estas últimas se ven mucho más afectadas por las medidas de confinamiento y tienen más dificultades para aplicar los procedimientos recomendados de distanciamiento social y sanidad. In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Peruvian Ministry of Health (MINSA) faces the challenge of ensuring the continuity of comprehensive health care for children at the first level of care. In view of the need to minimise the risks of contagion caused by close contact, the provision of health services was adapted from a fixed to a telehealth offer. This adapted form of integrated care is proposed as a strategy to meet the demands and improve access to health services, nutrition and development for children. On 21 July 2021, the International Policy Centre for Inclusive Growth (IPC-IG), the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) and the World Food Programme (WFP) brought together experts to discuss the links between school meals and South-South cooperation during and after the COVID-19 crisis. The COVID-19 crisis is estimated to have substantial economical impacts in Africa, but those will not be identical among population groups and areas within a country. As a result of the different socioeconomic structures and dynamics of rural and urban areas, people living in the latter are far more impacted by lockdown measures and face more difficulties in implementing the recommended social distancing and sanity procedures.
