Issue #16 | 9 July 2020
Welcome to the latest issue of our COVID-19 special newsletter. Since the beginning of the Social Protection Responses to COVID-19 Webinar series, we have already held 20 webinars on the subject. As you probably know, we reserve some time at the end of each session for audience’s questions and comments to our panelists. There isn’t always time to answer all of them so, after the webinar, the conversation continues in the discussion page of the Online Community. We would like to take this opportunity to invite you all to join these conversations by commenting and sharing your insights.

Online Community
The COVID-19 outbreak requires responses that extend far beyond the health sector, including measures to assist people in need and protect them from falling into poverty. We suggest that you regularly visit the COVID-19 Online Community for up-to-date content on social protection policies and operational measures taken worldwide in response to the pandemic. Since the beginning of this initiative the Community has been accessed more than 20,000 times. Become a member, join the discussions and share your thoughts!

This initiative comprises an Online Community, a webinar series and a weekly newsletter, all of which feature worldwide social protection responses to COVID-19. This is a joint effort initiated by the International Policy Centre for Inclusive Growth (IPC-IG), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) of Australia, in collaboration with the online platform. All partners and organisations are welcome and strongly encouraged to contribute by sharing knowledge, joining and promoting discussion on this important topic. Learn more on how to collaborate. If you have any questions and/or suggestions, please send an email to [email protected].
