Issue #19 | 30 July 2020
Welcome to the 19th issue of our COVID-19 special newsletter. Starting in August, this newsletter will be released every two weeks. We will keep bringing you the most updated content on social protection responses to the pandemic and maintaining the quality you are used to. We remind you that you can always access the Online Community to find all of the resources shared so far and more! The content is organised in different pages by regions and per type (webinars, newsletters, mappings and resources). We also recommend that you register to receive our webinars alerts, which provides weekly information on the upcoming sessions, including the ones which are part of the COVID-19 series. This newsletter will be back with its 20th issue on 13 August.

Online Community
The COVID-19 outbreak requires responses that extend far beyond the health sector, including measures to assist people in need and protect them from falling into poverty. We suggest that you regularly visit the COVID-19 Online Community for up-to-date content on social protection policies and operational measures taken worldwide in response to the pandemic. Since the beginning of this initiative, the Community has been accessed more than 22,000 times. Become a member, join the discussions and share your thoughts!

This initiative comprises an Online Community, a webinar series and a newsletter, all of which feature worldwide social protection responses to COVID-19. This is a joint effort initiated by the International Policy Centre for Inclusive Growth (IPC-IG), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) of Australia, in collaboration with the online platform. All partners and organisations are welcome and strongly encouraged to contribute by sharing knowledge, joining and promoting discussion on this important topic. Learn more on how to collaborate. If you have any questions and/or suggestions, please send an email to [email protected].
