Re-launch of the ISPA-tool website on socialprotection.org
Re-launch of the ISPA-tool website on socialprotection.org
In 2012, members of the Social Protection Interagency Cooperation Board launched as one of their first workstreams the development of a suite of Interagency Social Protection Tools, or ISPA. These tools provide a systematic framework for analysing national social protection systems as a whole or certain schemes or deliver mechanisms thereof in a participatory manner. Current tools available include (i) the Core Diagnostic Instrument, (ii) Food Security and Nutrition, (iii) Public Works Programmes, (iv) Social Protection Identification Systems and (v) Social Protection Payment Mechanisms.
ISPA tools consist of (i) a guidance note that explains the conceptual framework and key terminology for each subject matter, (ii) a data collection template, (iii) a matrix with suitable criteria to analyze performance and (iv) an annotated country report outline for ISPA applications. Generic implementation guidelines for how to conduct an ISPA application are also available.
In 2024, it was decided to host the website that makes available the ISPA tools on the socialprotection.org website which was launched in June 2024. On this occasion, we are organizing this webinar to familiarize the social protection community with the tools and reply to any questions users may have.
