Conditionnalités (le cas échéant)
India's Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) programme has an interesting exception in that it employs a ‘gradual’ conditionality. This means that the cash grant is paid out in three tranches on reaching certain milestones.19 This is crucially different from our standard definition of conditionality, as it does not require beneficiaries to fulfil all conditions before payment of the whole amount but rewards fulfilment of even only a part of conditionalities with payment of a share of the total grant.
Other conditionalities - early registration of pregnancy, one antenatal care visit, child registration and vaccination/immunisation

Mécanisme de versement des bénéfices
India's Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) programme guidelines specify that the money should be delivered via direct transfer to the beneficiaries' bank or post office personal accounts and not to the husband's/household member's joint accounts
Bénéficiaires de prestations
India’s Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) exclusively pay out benefits to women in the hope that their spending and consumption behaviour differs from that of other household members. In particular, there is some evidence that women spend benefits in a more family-oriented and child-sensitive way, hence often complying better with the programme’s intended use of funds. It consists of a grant to mothers during breastfeeding, conditional on scheduled perinatal medical visits.
Durée minimale et maximale des prestations (le cas échéant)
Benefits under the scheme are delivered only once. In case of miscarriage or stillbirth, the beneficiary may receive the remaining benefits in case of another pregnancy
Mécanismes et fréquence de suivi et évaluation
Steering and monitoring committees are formed at the state, district, project and village levels to review, monitor and advise on the programme’s implementation. NITI Aayog (a governmental think tank) oversees the monthly monitoring the programme during the first two years, carrying out a mid-course evaluation after six months of roll-out.
