BOMA a U.S. nonprofit and Kenyan non-governmental organization (NGO) with a proven track record, measurable results, and a transformative approach to alleviating poverty and building economic resilience in the arid and semi-arid lands (ASALs or drylands) of East Africa. Since they began implementation of their Graduation-adapted Rural Entrepreneur Access Project (REAP) model in 2009, they have reached over 800,000 individuals, and have expanded their operations to work in Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Chad, Ethiopia, Uganda, and South Sudan. The REAP model is now being scaled and adapted to maximize efficiency in an effort to transform the lives of 3 million women, youth, and refugees by 2027.
