Making social protection work for improved nutrition: A scoping review of state and opportunities in the Asia region

This scoping review by Nutrition International documents the state of social protection programs in the Asia region and identifies opportunities for policy-focused advocacy, as well as technical and program support, through partnerships with government, multilateral entities and non-government entities that are advancing nutrition outcomes in the region. The review aims to understand and document current trends in, and scope of, integration of nutrition into social protection policies and programs by 12 countries in Asia; and identify potential gaps and further opportunities for enhancing the integration of nutrition-specific interventions in the existing social protection programs reaching vulnerable groups.
