Age Sensitive, Disability Inclusive, and Gender Responsive Care and Support Systems Evidence Note

This evidence note looks into how governments in low and middle-income countries can develop high quality care and support systems for children, persons with disabilities and older persons, and their families that are rights abiding, gender responsive, disability inclusive, fiscally sustainable, and contextually relevant. Hence, it proposes a needed shift on how care and support systems are being discussed, in particular when it comes to low and middle-income countries.
The evidence note defines what inclusive and comprehensive care and support systems entail – including some of the key building blocks- from a human rights and lifecycle perspective that is gender equal and disability inclusive.
