This inaugural issue of Policy in Focus provides an in-depth examination of the intersection between food security, nutrition, and social protection, presenting evidence and insights on overcoming barriers that limit the effectiveness of social protection systems in improving food security and nutrition outcomes. With contributions from over 60 experts across 22 original articles, the magazine highlights the need for cross-sector collaboration among governments, businesses, and civil society to transform food systems and achieve SDG 2 (Zero Hunger). It also advocates for inclusive policies that address the complex challenges of food insecurity and malnutrition, with the goal of inspiring actionable solutions for a healthier future.
