This paper first looks at the three levels of monitoring involved in the Plan: monitoring macro results, monitoring the results of actions and monitoring family trajectories. The paper follows addressing three interrelated mechanisms for monitoring actions: situation rooms, budgetary identification, and database cross-referencing. Finally, two monitoring tools are described: the State and Municipal ‘Brazil Without Extreme Poverty' Portals.
