Programme objectives
The programme implemented in 2013 is the successor of the 70 y más programme, and it aims at improving the living conditions of adults aged 65 and over (elderly) through actions aimed at fostering their social protection.
Programme components
i) Apoyos económicos directos (Direct financial support): Seniors enrolled in the Beneficiaries Register.
ii) Acciones para aminorar el deterioro de la salud física y mental (Actions to mitigate the deterioration of physical and mental health): Actions to lessen deteriorating physical health and mental health of beneficiaries according to the following techniques of participation: participation in groups , clubs and informative briefings.
iii) Acciones para la protección social (Actions for social protection): Services to mitigate the risk of loss of income or health, such as: ID of the INAPAM, productive and occupational activities, promotion of access to health services, and caring for disabilities.
iv) Apoyo a la Inclusión Financiera (Support for financial inclusion): Beneficiaries that incorporate the support delivery scheme through electronic transfers.Support for the beneficaries of the programme that allow them to incorporate if the National Financial System.

Amount of benefits
i) Apoyos económicos directos (Direct financial support): $580 monthly and one time only financial support of $1,160 to the representative of the beneficiary when the beneficiary dies.
iv) Apoyo a la Inclusión Financiera (Support for financial inclusion): Maximum amount of MN$ 300.

i) Apoyos económicos directos (Direct financial support): Bimonthly.
