Family subsidy for low-income people who cannot receive the Family or Maternal Allowance, because they are not workers affiliated to a pension system. The Family Subsidy is part of the benefits provided by the Family Benefit System.

Conditionalities (if any)
i. Family Subsidy: Minors (8 years old or younger) and people with disabilities of any age must participate in health programs established by the Ministry of Health for child care. Families must prove that children over 6 years old are regular students of basic, secondary, higher education or other equivalent, in establishments of the State or recognized by it. This condition does not apply to people with disabilities.

Amount of benefits
i. Family Subsidy: The family allowance corresponds to CLP $ 13,155 per month. People with disabilities receive CLP $ 26,310, in 2020. ii. COVID-19 Allowance: CLP $ 50,000 for each family causer.

i. Family Subsidy: Monthly. ii. COVID-19 Allowance: Single transfer.

Benefit recipients
i. Family Subsidy: Woman with minors in her charge. If there are no women, it is assigned to the father or guardian. ii. COVID-19 Allowance: Woman with minors in her charge. If there are no women, it is assigned to the father or guardian.

i. Family Subsidy: The duration of the subsidy is for 3 years. ii. COVID-19 Allowance: Single transfer.
