Programme objectives
The objectives of the Disabiliity Allowance Programme (DAP) is to protect and provide people living with disabilities the same rights and opportunities as any other citizen.
Programme components
The components of the Disability Allowance Programme (DAP) offers both cash and in-kind transfers; hence, they are classified as Unconditional cash transfers (UCTs) as well as Unconditional on-kind transfers (UIKTs). The DAP goes even further and additionally provides Social Care Services (SCS) in the form of psycho-social support to beneficiaries [1] [2] [6]

Targeting and eligiblity
Eligibility criteria
Medically certified people living with disabilities, who are enrolled in the disability registry. The Disability Act of 2010 recognises the following impairment categories: visual, hearing and speech, physical, intellectual, learning, psychological, and autism.
