Blog: A basic income grant in South Africa will help combat poverty, but won’t do much to create jobs — expert panel report
The department of social development, with the International Labour Organisation and Joint SDG Fund, released an expert panel report on Basic Income Support (BIS) on Monday. The panel constitutes a mix of economic and related disciplines, including specialist expertise in the fields of social protection and microsimulation modelling in the field of social protection, computable general equilibrium (economic) modelling and public finance.
