SPEC Infographic Series: Jóvenes en Acción – Colombia
Jóvenes en Acción is a conditional cash transfer for young people enrolled in post-secondary education aged 16 to 24 years of age who are living in a situation of poverty, extreme poverty and vulnerability. The program aims to address the barriers faced by these young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to access post-secondary education and successfully transition to the labour market. It is implemented by the Directorate for Economic Inclusion of the Colombian Department for Social Prosperity (DPS) and is closely coordinated with another conditional cash transfer program called Familias en Acción (Families in Action), targeting poor and vulnerable families with children under the age of 18
