Recording of Side event 3: Fostering coherence between social protection, agriculture and natural resource management for an inclusive and sustainable recovery

This is the recording of Side event 3: Fostering coherence between social protection, agriculture and natural resource management for an inclusive and sustainable recovery, held as part of the Global e-Conference, Turning the COVID-19 crisis into an opportunity: What's next for social protection? The side event aimed at debating different analysis and policy experiences on building coherence between social protection, agriculture and natural resource management sectors to reduce rural poverty and promote the economic inclusion of the poor. Evidence and the main debates around the impact on poverty reduction of such policy and programmatic approach were presented. Participants also discussed the opportunities and challenges that governments face to implement programmes akin to these objectives, particularly in terms of expanding inclusivity while balancing economic recovery with environmental sustainability in the context of the COVID-19 response and subsequent recovery.
