Canada: Employment Insurance Act (S.C. 1996, c. 23)
This Act is divided in nine parts. The purpose of this Act, among other things, is to help maintain a sustainable employment insurance system through the establishment of employment benefits for insured participants and the maintenance of a national employment service. The Act includes measures for self-employed farmers and special measures for workers affected by the COVID-19.
