Ebola Recovery Conference Side Event - Strengthening Resilience through Social Protection

The unprecedented shock around the world following the Ebola virus disease (EVD) has rung alarm bells that all societies need a minimum social protection system and accessible public infrastructures for social services. Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone are no exception. The side event will address the wake-up call and opportunity presented by the post-ebola recovery plans if efforts are coherent and grounded into societies with respect of social justice where each individual has the means for a life in dignity at all stages through the life cycle and irrespective of where he/she comes from.

Summary report of the event can be found on the official website.
