The Dissemination Event for the Mid-Term Review of the MNSSP II

Adopted in 2018, the Malawi National Social Support Programme (MNSSP II) reflects the Government of Malawi’s commitment towards reducing poverty and vulnerability for its population. Building on previous experience, the MNSSP II seeks to streamline and strengthen the existing system of social protection with a view to achieving better results. The implementation plan defines deliverables and targets to be realized over a 5-year horizon, from 2018 to 2023.

Malawi’s Ministry of Economic Planning and Development through the Poverty Reduction and Social Protection (PRSP) division initiated a Mid-Term Review (MTR) of the MNSSP II in October 2021 to determine the degree of achievement of the proposed goals and strategic activities defined in the implementation plan of the MNSSP II. This dissemination event marked the end of the mid-term review process by providing an opportunity for those involved in the MTR to present the key findings, along with their recommendations to accelerate the achievement of the objectives set for 2023.

The slide presentation is available here and recording here.
