I would like to introduce myself, JAVIER ALFONSO GALINDO PERICO, born in Venezuela and with two nationalities Venezuelan and Colombian. I had my Law degree in 2007; during my career I started on Politics, but unfortunately Venezuela began searching all the opposition leaders like me; that was the moment that I was involved in the Human Rights field and started to study them gathering diplomas with United Nations Association on Venezuela; I did my post degree in the Externado University of Colombia (on Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law) afterword’s I got my master degree in Human Rights and Democracy at the same University.
I had an extensive background of 11 years teaching many subjects on undergraduate, post degree programs and on Master level, at various universities
On my practice field, with extensive experience of more than 8 years in the International Systems of Protection of Human Rights (OAS), with different entities of the State governments (3 and a half years), judicial tribunals in criminal law (3 years) other institutions and international organizations NGO (5 years); actually I’m working at the NGO Colombian Commission of Jurist (CCJ) as coordinator of International litigation. As well, I have a high experience in international criminal law, on Disarm, Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR) process on the post conflict in Colombia, serving as an advisor in different State entities on Human Rights issues; finally, I would like to express that I had done an internship at the Interamerican Court of Human Rights in Costa Rica (international court).
I had 5 publications on different law magazines
