A round-table of experts agreed that possessing correct data about citizens empowers a nation to protect them and provide assistance that is targeted and approachable. Social welfare is not a result of isolation, but the combined effort of various federal institutions, they said at a Global Policy Platform Forum roundtable titled ‘’Innovation in Social Protection” held on the final day of the seventh World Government Summit (WGS 2019) in Dubai.


His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved granting qualitative increases as social support services to some most needy beneficiaries.


Abu Dhabi’s government is set to introduce new income-based benefits for its citizens next year.
