New resources about India's health inequalities and civil society organisation's response to the pandemic!

Two new resources are available in the community about India responses to COVID-19.

The first one is an Oxfam report discussing the inequalities in health that India has witnessed during the pandemic. The report finds that existing socio-economic inequalities precipitate inequalities in the health system. Thus, the general category performs better than the Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs), Hindus perform better than Muslims, the rich perform better than the poor, men are better off than women, and the urban population is better off than the rural population on various health indicators.

The second one, is a brief on how Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) have supported families throughout the COVID-19 crisis, especially in the second wave.

You can access these and more resources on the dedicated page to Social Protection responses to COVID-19 in South Asia.
