Welcome to the new edition of socialprotection.org’s newsletter!

This month’s issue is dedicated to World Health Day, celebrated on 7 April.

In this light, we are pleased to announce the launch of the socialprotection.org Blog feature, with a series of articles on social protection and health, sponsored by the German Development Cooperation within the EU Social Protection Systems Programme (EU-SPS). The first blog post discusses the HIV-inclusive and HIV-sensitive features of social protection programmes in four African countries. It is a must-read, as are the other publications we share on health care and social protection initiatives worldwide.

We hope you enjoy your reading!

New blog feature
This month we announce the launch of socialprotection.org’s new Blog feature, which presents articles related to social protection written by members of the platform. The Blog posts will be organized under three distinct series: the Webinar Series, with the summaries of our webinars; the Ambassadors Series, with articles from the United Nations Volunteers that support the platform, and the Sponsored Series.

Our first Sponsored Series Blog post is promoted by the German Development Cooperation within the EU SPS Initiative, and will focus on social protection and health. Contributions to the Sponsored Series of blog posts will come from international agencies, government representatives and academic researchers. Each series will include at least six monthly blog posts.
