My research objective is to find answers to some of the important questions with direct policy implication using state-of-the-art empirical and theoretical methods. My research interests are in area of development economics, trade and industrial organization with a strong interest in applied econometric issues motivated by empirical work. My research in development has focused on understanding of labour market, agricultural diversification, impact evaluation of policy and programmes, and food security in developing economy. I am interested in various dynamics of the labour market, including informality, segmentation, trade and employment, mobility, and gendered labour. My research in industrial organization focused on efficiency and productivity analysis of different industry and how they are linked to exports and financial performance.
