Alice Livingstone-Chan

Social Protection Adviser, HelpAge International

I have spent more than ten years working in policy, research and advocacy related to income security in older age in low and middle income countries. This has largely focused on social protection and related areas including voice and social accountability, work/livelihoods, labour migration, financial inclusion, and mobile technology. On these themes I have led and contributed to research, publications, communications and social media, policy events, civil society coalitions, and conducted primary research in several countries. I have been fortunate to work with a wide variety of people and institutions, including community based organisations, small and large NGOs, national government, think tanks, bilateral donors, global civil society and academics. I have a background in international development, human rights advocacy and MSc in Social Policy Research from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
