SPRI stands for research, research-based advisory- and capacity building- services.The core areas in SPRI’s global research agenda encompass:
- poverty analyses with an emphasis on multidimensional non-monetary poverty,
- SDG monitoring,
- social protection-design and –evaluation studies flavoured by the idea that systemic coherence and -focus is what matters most,
- inquiries into the nature and drivers of inequality including the roles of child development, income generation and transfers, rural development, social policy in emergency situations, …
SPRI is providing advisory services to governments, public authorities, international organisations and private partners in a broad set of areas including

SPRI organises and facilitates training and capacity building courses and workshop on a global scale. Training ranges from short workshop, to full week(s) courses and contributions to MSc. and PhD programmes at Universities.
The Social Policy Research Institute (SPRI Global) is not-for-profit institute based in Belgium, which engages in research and research-based consultancy services in the field of social protection, with a concentration in poverty and inequality research and capacity building services. Their mission is to support public and private institutions in their research and policy analysis capacity as part of establishing functioning national social protection systems, which is paramount to ensuring sustainable, long-term growth, and to equitably fulfilling national human rights and human development commitments.
