Government of Italy contributes EUR 1.5 million to promote child rights in Libya
The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation pledged EUR 1.5 million for a program to be executed by UNICEF aimed at promoting a conducive social environment for a rights-based, fair, democratic and inclusive governance in Libya with a particular focus on the safety and well-being of the child.
The program intends to make an investment in the future of the country, namely by contributing to strengthening the social protection of children. This will be achieved through supporting the action of relevant GNA Ministries in developing child friendly policies and will contribute to the delivery of public services - healthcare and education - to Libyan children.
