Regional Seminar on Shock-responsive Social Protection in Latin America and the Caribbean

The World Food Programme, in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Social Development and Inclusion of the Government of Peru, is organising the first “Regional Seminar on Shock-responsive Social Protection in Latin America and the Caribbean”, which will be held in Lima, Peru on 30 and 31 October 2017. The event will take place in Spanish. 
 
 
The Seminar will bring together more than 100 participants from various Latin American and Caribbean countries (government institutions in charge of social protection and disaster management), regional and international organizations, experts, researchers and partners. The overall objective of the event is to foster an exchange between countries and promote regional dialogue on the role of national social protection systems in response to emergencies.
