Evaluating Social Programs is J-PAL’s flagship executive education course. The two-day course provides participants with an introduction to randomized evaluations and when they can be used strategically in program or policy evaluation. An optional third day is open to participants who wish to understand the pragmatic considerations involved in conducting a randomized evaluation.
J-PAL directors and staff will provide both theoretical and example-based classes where participants can apply key concepts in impact evaluation to programs. The course will cover five to seven lectures supplemented by case studies and group discussions delivered in English (simultaneous translations to Bahasa will be provided for the lectures and you may ask to be assigned to groups in which discussions are delivered in Bahasa).
Participation to this course is based on closed invitation. If you’ve received an invitation from the Australian Government or J-PAL Southeast Asia, please register to confirm your attendance by February 15, 2018.
